When preparing for the trip, it might be interesting to gain some insight into the Mediterranean refugee context. UNHCR runs a useful website with relevant statistics and material.

11. I am unable to travel to Greece. How can I support from home?

One of the easiest and most effective ways to support our work in Greece is to reshare and amplify our content on social media or set up a fundraiser for ELIL on Facebook.

You can also support us by making a donation directly through our website, by bank transfer or PayPal. German and French donors can be issued a donation receipt on request.

If you would like to donate to support our work, please see the Donate page.

12. How will my donation be used?

We need additional financial support to ensure our work can continue and as many asylum seekers as possible can receive free legal assistance. As our organisation is volunteer-based, our operational costs are low. A donation of €25 enables our team of European asylum lawyers to provide legal assistance to one asylum seeker.
