The Greece Pro Bono Collaborative (GPBC)

The Greece Pro Bono Collaborative (GPBC) is a partnership between the European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) and eight leading international law firms - Allen & Overy Shearman, Ashurst, Charles Russell Speechlys, Clyde & Co, Dentons, Orrick, Stephenson Harwood, and White & Case. Through the GPBC, these firms second their lawyers to ELIL for two-week placements, where they work closely with our teams in Greece to provide vital legal support. The collaborative reflects a unique spirit of European solidarity: full-time Greek lawyers work alongside volunteer lawyers from across the continent, creating a powerful network of shared expertise and commitment. Since its founding, our work has been supported by more than 500 volunteer lawyers, whose skills, knowledge, and dedication make our work possible.

ELIL’s activities are made possible by the remarkable spirit of European collaboration and solidarity which sees full-time Greek lawyers working alongside volunteer European lawyers. Our work has been possible thanks to the support of over 600 people from across the continent who have volunteered with us, sharing their experience, skills and knowledge.
